Is there a fee for Casting Directors, Agents, or Producers to contact members?
| |
Scene Interactive is committed to getting performers auditions. We believe that charging a fee to these professionals would limit your opportunities.
Do you get a percentage for jobs booked through your service?
| |
No, Scene Interactive is a production and marketing tool designed to make it easier for you and your agent to find you work. We charge only a flat membership fee.
I am a Talent Agent that represents performers; can I utilize your service?
| |
Yes, Scene Interactive encourages representatives to use our service as a form of additional exposure for their clients. Many Talent Agents currently use our service and provide their telephone numbers and emails for the point of contact.

What is the Video Monologue for Actors and the Performance Video for Dancers?
| |
These are two pieces that we produce for you in our studio. We capture short audition pieces that you can use to give industry professionals a better sense of your performance skills than they could garner through a mere headshot.
I am an actor, should I do more than one Video Monologue?
| |
Yes, we recommend that you prepare contrasting pieces which will show your range. For example, you might do one dramatic and one comedic monologue.
I am a dancer, should I do more than one Performance Video?
| |
For dancers, we put together one Performance Video. However, that video can be divided into different sections and we recommend that you touch upon a variety of genres.
I already have a reel, what should I perform in the Video Monologue or Performance Video?
| |
For performers that have an existing reel, we recommend using this piece to fill in any gaps that may exist in your reel. For performers without a reel, we recommend using this piece to show a wide range of talents.
What should I wear for the Video Monologue or Performance Video?
| |
We capture your performances against a white backdrop and find that non-white solid colored attire looks best. Many performers choose to change attire for the different pieces.
How can I retrieve my lost/forgotten username?
| |
Performers assign themselves a username as part of the registration process. The easiest way to retrieve a username is to open up your personal web page and view your URL.
The username will appear as follows in the address bar:
http://www.sceneinteractive.com/talents/yourusernamehere/?movie=#
How can I retrieve my lost/forgotten password?
| |
Underneath the user login prompt you will find a 'Forgot your password?' link. Clicking on this link will take you to a screen where you will be asked to enter your username. Your password will then be sent to the email account you used when registering.
How do I send my personal web page in response to a casting call?
| |
There are two ways to send your personal web page to another individual. First, when you login into your account you will be immediately taken to your "Control Panel". From here, you have the option of having Scene Interactive send your personal webpage simply by typing in the destination address under "Email Personal Link". Your link and some standard introductory text will show up in the body of the email.
Conversely, if you would like to personalize your message to the recipient, you can use your personal email (Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.) and simply copy and paste your personal URL into the body of your message.
Either of these methods can be used to respond to the casting calls located within the Scene Interactive site as well as any other site that lists an email address.
Why do some performers keep their contact information hidden?
| |
Each performer on the site has the ability to keep their telephone number and/or email address private through their 'Control Panel'. In this case, they can only be contacted by people to whom Scene Interactive has screened and subsequently issued a password.
We have set this feature up for the safety of our users.
However, members that keep at least one form of contact information public, such as email, tend to get contacted for auditions much more often than those that hide all of their contact information.
